Water Stop Chemical is a fast-setting, single-component hydraulic cement mortar specially developed for emergency water-stopping applications. Supplied as a ready-to-use dry powder, it requires only clean water to activate and rapidly forms a strong waterproof plug within just 2–3 minutes.
Its unique hydraulic formulation undergoes a rapid chemical reaction that expands slightly while setting, allowing it to instantly seal active water leaks, running water, and seepage through cracks, holes, joints, and concrete defects—even under hydrostatic pressure.
Unlike conventional repair mortars, Water Stop Chemical cures without shrinkage, maintaining a durable watertight seal that remains firmly bonded to concrete and masonry surfaces. The chloride-free formulation also makes it completely safe for reinforced concrete, protecting steel reinforcement from corrosion.
