Explore Features ↓What is Dry Plast?
Dry Plast is a high-performance salt-accumulating restoration plaster specially engineered for the renovation of masonry surfaces affected by rising damp, salt contamination, and moisture damage. Unlike conventional cement plasters, Dry Plast features a highly porous structure that allows walls to breathe naturally while safely storing damaging salts within its internal pore network.
Designed for restoration projects, Dry Plast regulates wall moisture by allowing trapped water vapour to escape freely, preventing blistering, peeling paint, and recurring efflorescence. Its unique formulation supports the long-term drying of damp masonry while maintaining excellent durability even in highly salt-loaded environments.
Dry Plast provides outstanding resistance to hygroscopic moisture and crystallising salts commonly found in buildings affected by rising damp. Suitable for both hand and machine application, it creates a smooth, durable finish that significantly extends the life of decorative coatings and renovation work.
Dry Plast is ideal for restoration of heritage buildings, damp basements, retaining walls, salt-contaminated masonry, rising damp repairs, internal and external renovation projects, and all masonry surfaces where conventional plaster fails due to moisture and efflorescence.
How Dry Plast Works
Surface Preparation
Remove all loose plaster, damaged coatings, salts, dust and deteriorated material from the masonry surface.
Dampen the Wall
Lightly moisten the substrate to improve adhesion while avoiding standing water before plaster application.
Mix Dry Plast
Mix with clean water until a smooth, homogeneous plaster consistency is achieved.
Apply the Plaster
Apply evenly by hand or machine to the recommended thickness for maximum salt storage and breathability.
Cure & Finish
Allow the plaster to cure naturally before applying breathable decorative finishes or paint.
Surface Preparation
Remove loose plaster, dust, salts and damaged materials to create a clean and stable substrate.
Dampen the Wall
Lightly moisten the wall surface to improve bonding before applying the restoration plaster.
Mix Dry Plast
Mix thoroughly with clean water until a smooth and workable plaster mix is obtained.
Apply the Plaster
Spread uniformly using a trowel or plastering machine to achieve the required thickness.
Cure & Finish
Allow proper curing before applying breathable decorative coatings for long-lasting protection.
